EoW raid on Beur jail chief over assets case

THE Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police on Saturday conducted simultaneous searches at the office and residential premises of Bidu Kumar, superintendent of Beur Central Jail near Patna in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
DIG, EOU, Manavjeet Singh Dhillon said that the searches were carried out at different locations of the jail superintendent after obtaining order of the court. Initial probe revealed that Bidu amassed disproportionate assets 146% more than his known source
