A Sebi enforcement team braved highly inclement Mumbai weather on August 20 to launch a search and seizure operations at finfluencer Avadhut Sathe home and the academy.

- BENN KOCHUVEEDAN @Mumbai

Sathe was under regulatory radar for long time, and the first complaint against him reached Sebi headquarters in 2023. Sebi has not named him officially or issued a statement as has been the case when it acted against people like him. All that Sebi whole-time member Kamlesh Varshney would tell journalists on Thursday was that: “Yes we've carried out a big search operation on a big name in finfluencer industry. I can’t comment much further until we examine evidence that has been collected.”
