SPORTS is an integral part of our lives, whether you are genetically predisposed to athletic activities or not. In one’s growing up years, it always served as a break from the monotony of geographical map drawings and mathematical calculations.

Sporting a vision on canvas

For those who needed more than a mere break, it provided reasons to stay away from regular classes for longer hours, with the simple act of signing up for any drill exercise. Although most of us have not been able to even be remotely involved in any sporting activity since adulthood brought on the avalanche of responsibilities, we still continue to remain passively connected with the world of sports, cheering our cricket teams, and counting our medals tally at the Olympics.

To celebrate the need for sports in all our lives, August 29 was chosen as it is the birth anniversary of Dhyan Chand, the greatest hockey legend India has produced.
