IN a move that has stunned the political establishment, Vice President and RS Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar tendered his resignation late Monday evening, prompting a wave of reactions across party lines.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh described the resignation as "shocking and inexplicable," raising questions about the abrupt nature of the development.
"I was with him alongside a number of other MPs till around 5 PM today and had spoken to him over the phone at 7:30 PM. There was absolutely no indication of anything amiss," Ramesh said in a statement posted on X.
