THE much-awaited indigenous version of the Assault Rifle AK-203 will be out by December, and it will be christened as 'Sher' (Lion).

The contract for over 6 lakh rifles was signed in 2021. IRRPL CEO and MD Major General SK Sharma said on Thursday, "We will deliver the first 100% indigenised AK-203 rifle on December 31, 2025."
