Sebi dismisses Gaekwad's open offer for Religare

Capital market regulator - the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Friday dismissed an application from USbased investor Digvijay 'Danny' Gaekwad (Danny Gaekwad Developments & Investments) who is seeking permission to make a competing open offer for Religare Enterprises Ltd (REL).

The order by Sebi came a day after Gaekwad failed a Supreme Court diktat which had asked him to deposit ₹600 crore to consider his offer.
