Punjab police continue to control Nangal dam gates

The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) chairman had reportedly sent a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs seeking the deployment of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel to guard the dam.

Approximately two dozen police personnel, along with two DSP rank officers, are presently deployed at the dam. The local AAP cadre has erected a tent where they are staging an indefinite dharna against the BBMB.
