Online gaming companies plan job cuts

THE ban on online money gaming has begun to show its impact, with many gaming companies preparing for job cuts.

Reports suggest Indian online gaming app Mobile Premier League (MPL) is planning to reduce 60% of its workforce—roughly 300 of its 500 employees.

Other gaming companies like Baazi and Games24x7 are also said to be considering cutting up to 50% of their jobs.

Gaming major Nazara Technologies has terminated its deal—announced on September 12, 2024—to acquire a 0.96% equity stake in Moonshine Technology from I3 Interactive Inc.
