India concerned about Venezuela: EAM

NEW Delhi continues with its cautious, tightly worded response to the dramatic political upheaval in Venezuela, where former president Nicolás Maduro has been jailed in New York following a US military operation.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Tuesday said India was "concerned" about the developments in Venezuela and urged all parties to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of the Venezuelan people. Speaking at an event in Luxembourg, Jaishankar avoided directly referring to the United States or its military action, instead stressing dialogue and humanitarian considerations.
