Judge raises questions on probe as Parth's firm linked to Pune deal
THE Bombay High Court on Wednesday questioned the absence of Parth Pawar, son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, from the FIR related to the Pune land scam.
The court raised sharp questions regarding the police probe into the controversial land deal, suggesting authorities might be shielding the Deputy CM's son.
Parth is associated with a 40acre land deal in Pune. His firm, Amadea Enterprises LLP, allegedly purchased 40 acres of Mahar Watan land valued at ₹2,000 crore. The firm received a waiver of ₹25 crore in stamp duty and registration fees, citing plans to develop an IT hub on the property. The transaction was completed using only ₹500 stamp paper.
During the hearing, the Bombay High Court expressed surprise that DCM Ajit Pawar's name was omitted from the FIR, despite his firm's involvement in the land purchase.
