Gr Noida Cops Blame Sharda Univ for Probe Delay
The Morning Standard
|August 05, 2025
The Greater Noida police have claimed that the delay in the submission of Sharda University's five-member internal complaints committee (ICC) report is hampering the ongoing investigation into the alleged suicide of a second-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) student, aged 21.

According to police, the committee was expected to submit its report within five days, but the delay has now stretched over a fortnight. It may be recalled that the girl, a second-year BDS student, was found dead inside her room 1209(C) on the 12th floor of Mandela Hostel at Sharda University on July 18 around 8.45 pm.
The victim, who hailed from Gurugram, was discovered hanging from the ceiling fan after a neighboring student from room 1209(B) received a call from the deceased's parents, who had been unable to reach her on phone.
