Govt’s priority to boost trade, ensure MSME growth: CBIC chief

IN the recent Budget, the government has taken a calibrated approach to balance the revenue generation from customs duty and other tariffs, and trade liberalisation measures like free trade agreements, said Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) Vivek Chaturvedi.
During an interaction with TNIE, CBIC Chairman said the government’s priority was not only boosting the trade with rationalisation of customs duty but also ensuring that small and medium enterprises get to boost their exports.
