Five of a family killed, 5 abducted in Odisha

In a bone-chilling incident, five members of a nomadic family were hacked to death and another five kidnapped in a bloody late night attack by a group believed to be of the same community near Karamdihi village under Sadar police limits of Sundargarh district on Tuesday.

Of the five deceased, three were women. The kidnapped included four children and a woman. The nomadic community is originally from Maharashtra. At the time of the attack, around 20 family members were fast asleep in tents put up at a secluded place near Karamdihi village.
