EPS says AIADMK will secure majority, form govt on its own in TN

THE number of parties in a coalition does not matter; the AIADMK-BJP alliance will win by a landslide in the 2026 Assembly elections, said AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, even as he reiterated that the AIADMK will secure a majority and form the government on its own.
He was addressing cadre and public in Modakurichi (Erode) as part of his political campaign on Friday.
"Corruption has increased under the DMK regime. Corruption has become rampant in all sectors, particularly in Tasmac, which, according to Enforcement Directorate, is a Rs 1,000-crore scam. Before the bottle buyback scheme, there was corruption in Tasmac by collecting an extra charge of Rs 10, and through this, Rs 15 crore was collected every day. In the last four years, corruption worth Rs 22,000 crore has taken place through this. The DMK government can't deny this," alleged Palaniswami.
