In the aftermath of the roof collapse at a village school in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district, which resulted in the death of seven children, serious questions are being raised regarding the negligence of the state's education department.
At the center of the political storm is Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar. During his two years in office, Dilawar remains in the news more for his controversial statements (he even called Mughal Emperor Akbar a 'rapist'), than for any reform in the educational sector.
