Didi a barrier to progress: PM vows 'Viksit Bengal' with ₹5K cr projects push

PRIME Minister Narendra Modi on Friday gave two guarantees if the people dislodged the Trinamool government in the next elections: a guarantee to foil any conspiracy against Bengali identity and the other, "Bikoshito Bangla Modir Guarantee (developed Bengal is Modi's guarantee)".
He unveiled projects for the state worth around ₹5,400 crore.
He said the "corrupt and non-functional" government was a barrier to the state's development. "When this barrier falls, Bengal will rapidly progress on the path of development. Bengal will play a vital role in our goal to achieve Vikshit Bharat."
