Cyber fraudsters: U'khand STF nabs Delhi man with 3K fake SIM cards

THE Special Task Force of Uttarakhand police has arrested the kingpin of a cybercrime syndicate involved in running fraudulent schemes using fake SIM cards. A total of 3,000 SIM cards has been seized from the possession of the arrested accused, a Delhi resident.
During interrogation, Mudassir Mirza said he had procured and distributed thousands of M2M SIM cards under the guise of corporate identification, STF SSP Ayush Agarwal said.
The accused had rented an office in Borivali and bought 29,000 SIM cards from Airtel and 16,000 from Vodafone-Idea, which he distributed to his agents.
