Contractor suicide: 80 BJP workers detained in march

AROUND 80 BJP activists, including leaders of opposition in the Assembly and Council R Ashoka and Chelavadi Narayana Swamy, were taken into police custody for attempting to lay siege to RDPR Minister Priyank Kharge's house here on Saturday, seeking his resignation over Bidar contractor Sachin Panchala's suicide.
Thousands of activists and senior leaders of the party marched towards Priyank Kharge's house after holding a meeting near Mini Vidhana Soudha. Addressing the activists after garlanding the statues of Basaveshwara and Dr BR Ambedkar at Jagat Circle, Ashoka, Narayana Swamy, and MLCs CT Ravi and Ravi Kumar declared that their state-wide agitation would continue till Priyank Kharge resigned as RDPR minister.
