Afghanistan pull off thrilling win vs England

IBRAHIM Zadran and Azmatullah Omarzai emerged as the heroes as Afghanistan beat England in a thriller in their Champions Trophy league encounter here.

On the back of a brilliant, competition high 177, the Asian outfit had set Jos Buttler's side a target of 326.

England, low on confidence with a lot of batters fighting for their future in the side, had the target in sight courtesy of Joe Root's first 100 in almost six years. But they faltered at the end as they lost by eight runs.
