10 Pilgrims Killed, 41 Injured as Truck Rams into Trolley

In a major road accident, ten people were killed and 41 injured when a truck rammed into a tractor-trolley carrying pilgrims in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district in the early hours of Monday, police said.
According to sources, the accident took place on National Highway 34 near Ghatal village in the Arnia area. The devotees were travelling from Kasganj to Gogamedi in Rajasthan for the darshan of Jaharveer (Gogaji).
Police authorities said the devotees had converted the trolley into a double-decker. Wooden planks were placed in the middle to create two levels so that more people could sit.
