US PRESIDENT Donald Trump has announced his long-awaited Gaza peace plan that is currently being reviewed by insurgent group Hamas, according to the BBC.

He made the announcement at the White House, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu standing alongside in support. The 20-point plan includes an end to fighting, the return of Israeli hostages, and an international “Board of Peace” to help run Gaza, which would include former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Trump said if Hamas does not accept them, he gives Israel “full backing to do what you would have to do”.
European and Middle Eastern leaders have welcomed the plan, though it is not a detailed proposal to end the war, merely a framework.
But it seems at least a glimmer of hope.
