THE BEST OF JOHN WILLIAMS

In London between Christmas and New Year? Then this is the perfect Betwixtmas treat. The legendary film composer John Williams is getting a show at the Barbican dedicated to his entire body of work (at this point, stretching back decades), and it will be played by a 70-piece orchestra. CAROLS AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL

Of course, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a full-throated carol singalong, and they don't get much better than the ones at the Royal Albert Hall. With a stonking 13 performances spread across five days, the odds of getting a ticket are pretty good, and you'll get the unique experience of carolling your lungs out in one of the most iconic buildings in London.
