Welcome back Topshop... how I've missed you
The Journal
|February 19, 2026
I AM going clothes shopping this weekend and it is a bit of a big deal.
-
And the reason it is a big deal is that, for the first time in about six months, I am going to do my shopping inside an actual shop and not on my sofa which is where I buy most things these days.
What could possibly be luring me out of my cosy central-heated home and into a bustling metropolis on one of the coldest weeks of the winter so far? I have one word for you: Topshop.
Yes, the store where I, like countless other women, first found our fashion feet splashing our own money, is back baby.
Here's a little history lesson for anyone who maybe hasn't set foot on a British high street since before Covid.
Topshop shuttered its high street stores - which included the fashion playground that was its flagship Oxford Street store - back in 2020 after owner Arcadia, collapsed into administration.
