United star hoping he will not be forgotten by England

LEWIS Hall’s luck in 2025 has been nothing but bad. The Newcastle United defender, however, has plenty to look forward to in 2026 if he can overcome his latest setback.
Hall's rise at St James’ Park has been one of the many success stories of Eddie Howe's reign.
Signed on loan from Chelsea in 2022 with an obligation to make the deal permanent for £28m plus £7m in potential add-ons, the fullback initially took a while to win his place under Howe, who is notoriously unwilling to blood new players until he feels they are up to speed with his tactics and intensity.
For a while it looked like Hall’s arrival was a mistake. Slowly but surely, however, the boyhood Newcastle fan showed what he is capable of and why the Magpies had committed so much money on bringing him ‘home’
The 21-year-old went from strength to strength, producing unbelievably consistent performances as Newcastle faced into contention for a Champions League spot and also the Carabao Cup final.
