United fans are still in the dark over future of St James' Park

NEWCASTLE United are desperate for some answers on what happens next at St James' Park as far as stadium developments are concerned.
Almost two years on since supporters were given a survey to fill out to form the basis of a feasibility study, there have been no concrete plans released on either St James' being redeveloped or a move to a new stadium.
It is now 11 months ago since the club COO Brad Miller asked for a show of hands at the club's STACK fanzone for a supporter meeting in the shadow of the Gallowgate End.
Back then, albeit with a crowd of around 3,000 fans, it seemed that the majority favoured a move to a new stadium.
That night, then CEO Darren Eales said that option would lead to “more seats” if Newcastle did make an emotional move away from St James'.
But since then, and despite the suggestion of an update in early 2025, there has been precious little in terms of updates or communication coming from within the four walls of the club.
What happens next?
The pathway doesn’t seem well-lit at this moment in time, although it is expected that Fan Advisory Board (FAB) minutes will be released in due course.
Last autumn, Miller met with fans and was quizzed on what the supporters see as the big ticket item.
