The Journal
|August 20, 2025
HAVING spent in the region of £140m on 12 new summer recruits, Sunderland's sizzling recruitment drive shows no sign of slowing down. The Black Cats have been busy forking out during the transfer window to boost their squad for the Premier League season.
Jhon Lucumi is now back on the Sunderland radar in the centre-back positions, as an official bid has been placed.
Away from enhancing their defensive options, another bid has also reportedly been lodged by the ambitious Black Cats for the services of Leicester City attacker Abdu Fatawu.
