Folk citing it as more of a vanity project than one giant leap for womankind.

Personally? I think it's just another example of Jeff Bezos' incredible ability to read minds and give the people what they want.

I don't mean the spectators. Lord no. Did you watch it? The broadcast event was, fittingly, rather reminiscent of American Football, in that, despite it being hours long, there was only 11 minutes of actual action.

No, the real genius lay in inviting woman on a trip to space during school holidays.

I am terrified of flying. And if I step off a kerb too fast it can bring on a bout of vertigo. But even I would be tempted to make one small step for man if it would give me a brief respite from a fortnight of parenting, 24/7.

Yes indeed. I watched with envy as those perfectly coiffed lasses donned their designer spacesuits.

Not a Frube stain amongst them.
