SHOPPERS who step inside one Northumberland shop this Christmas will be transported to the magical land of Narnia.

- KALI LINDSAY

Northern Angels Alnwick is a whimsical haven paying homage to the beloved fantasy novels by CS Lewis.

People can add a bubble to the remembrance tree, while children can play in the area at Mr Beaver's tea party.

Customers will no doubt be tempted by a festive-themed menu including a white witch’s mocha, beaver’s brew americano and Turkish delight temptation.

Owner Vicky Diggens, 40, came up with the concept and says it has already been a hit with shoppers.

She said: “I just wanted to do something different this year. We just wanted to do something free and cosy, something people can come in to and talk about.
