Remembering Archie on poignant occasion

ARCHIE York’s mum has remembered the “life that he never got to live”, a year on from the Benwell explosion.

Katherine Errington, 28, led a poignant balloon release in the seven-year-old’s honour on the anniversary of his tragic passing.

The blast which claimed little Archie's life, on October 16 last year, destroyed his family home, and Katherine, along with dad Robbie and their baby son Finley, were lucky to escape with their own lives.

Drug dealer Reece Galbraith was jailed for 14 years for causing the explosion, after using the flat below Archie's home as a dangerous lab alongside his friend Jason Laws, who was also killed in the blast.
