Ramsdale is 'eyeing Magpies' No.1 spot'

ARON Ramsdale is believed to be open to making his move to Newcastle United a permanent one but it could hinge on whether he replaces Nick Pope as the Magpies’ first-choice goalkeeper.
Ramsdale’s move to United last summer has provided Eddie Howe with a strong backup to Pope.
The Southampton shot-stopper completed a loan switch in preseason as the Magpies decided to shake up their goalkeeping department.
Ramsdale (right) linked up again with Howe, having worked with him earlier in his career at Bournemouth. United paid a £4million loan fee to secure the England international for the season.
