How long does it take to illustrate a book?

It sometimes feels like light years or sometimes just seconds. The reality is somewhere in the middle of a couple of months. But I also will be working on other bits alongside the book project like working in my magical shop, Punnydukes.

How do you know what the characters are supposed to look like?

Sometimes the author will tell me and other times I get to invent them a bit more myself, which is always fun!

I used to draw everything by h now I use my iPad which goes with me everywhere.

How did you become an illustrator? Did you like doing art when you were in school?
