Online shopping is the future after car park debacle

I even love doing food shops in giant supermarkets in the run-up to Christmas.

Taking my time going up and down every aisle, seeing what's on offer this year.

Wondering how many festive treats I'll be able to fit in my over-sized trolley.

I adored every minute of it, and wouldn't have traded a single part, for a soulless, online shopping experience.

Right up until I got trapped in a supermarket car park for three hours last Sunday, alongside hundreds of other drivers.

It was genuinely one of the most frightening experiences of my life.

And I do not scare easily.

Grown men were in tears at their steering wheels.

One bloke got out and started punching his own car bonnet in frustration.

It was insanity.
