Newcastle gearing up for Rovers clash

YOU'D be forgiven for thinking it was a quiet week for North East women’s football, due to no league games during the international break but it has been nothing of the sort.

Newcastle United have been gearing themselves up for the only league game this weekend, at home against Blackburn Rovers (kick-off 2pm at Kingston Park).

After their draw against league leaders London City Lionesses, just over a week ago, Becky Langley’s side will be looking to put the disappointment of the almost certainty of a season without promotion behind them and look to finish as high as they can.
