NEWCASTLE United retain an interest in Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo but will have to move swiftly if they decide they want to add him to their squad in January.

Mainoo has slipped down the pecking order at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim, failing to find a starting role in the manager's 3-4-2-1 formation.
That has alerted a number of clubs who are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old. Newcastle are one of those sides who are monitoring the player's situation.
