SUNDERLAND AFC defender Ben Crompton has reflected on his loan move to Tamworth after it came to an end.

Loanee Ben is a Midlands success

The 19-year-old gained invaluable experience during his first taste of senior football.

The teenager joined the National League outfit in November and has since racked up an impressive 28 appearances in all competitions - a run that included a standout moment marking Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min in a memorable FA Cup tie.

“It's been a truly brilliant experience - everything I could have hoped for in my first loan,” said Crompton.
