Kitchen-dwelling drug farmer jailed

A CANNABIS farmer was found living in the kitchen of a Tyneside home converted into a drugs factory.

When police raided the property at Whitehorn Crescent, Cowgate, Newcastle, on August 15 this year, they found a large cannabis-growing set up.
“Gardener” Alden Zefe, 21, who had been sleeping on a bed in the kitchen, was arrested at the scene. He had been tasked with looking after the plants and had not set up the operation, Newcastle Crown Court heard.
