Howe's injury boost ahead of City clash

NEWCASTLE United have had the ideal boost ahead of their meeting with Manchester City next weekend.
The Magpies were beaten 3-1 at Brentford but the game plan was complicated when Joelinton went down injured in the early stages at the Gtech Stadium before being forced off after just 24 minutes.
The Brazilian was in discomfort as he sat slumped on the ground, with the decision to replace him a tough one for Eddie Howe.
Despite Joelinton's omission from the Brazil squad for games against Senegal at the Emirates Stadium then in Lille against Tunisia initially being classed as a blow for the midfield enforcer, the snub may have ended up being a blessing in disguise.
