United boss Eddie Howe has publicly questioned the mentality of some of his stars - just days after the dismal defeat on Wearside.Howe admitted he has left some games this season questioning whether his players have given 100% and that Newcastle have “lost” a certain edge this term.
When asked about mentality, Howe said ahead of tonight's Carabao Cup quarterfinal against Fulham: “What does it (mentality) mean?
“Because it's a very overused phrase, mentality. I hear it a lot, but then when people use it they need to understand what it is.
