Highwaymen looking to cap off historic season

QUEST FOR CUP GLORY AFTER HIGHEST-EVER LEAGUE FINISH
MORPETH Town manager Craig Lynch has admitted his side have surpassed expectations during a historic season at Craik Park.
After overseeing something of a reshuffle last season as several long-serving members of the Highwaymen ranks were allowed to move on and replacements were found, Lynch's men ended the campaign in eighth place in the Northern Premier League Premier Division table.
That will go down as Morpeth’s highest ever final position within the non-league pyramid and their points total of 62 also surpasses the club’s highest points total in the third tier of the non-league game.
