Head injury victim fights for life after 'altercation'

AN alleged pub-attack victim is still fighting for his life in hospital.

Emergency services were called to The Fellsider pub, in Whickham, Gateshead, last Monday evening after a man in his 40s was found with a head injury outside.
He was taken to hospital where his condition is described as “critical”.
A 23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has been released on bail. Northumbria Police has appealed for information.
