A TEACHER jailed for raping a child was once a headmaster at a Newcastle school.

Lee Brumby was last month locked up for 16 years after he was convicted of five historic sex offences against a child under the age of 13.
The 64-year-old had been working at a school in Essex when his horrific past came to light. But Brumby did also spend a number of years as a headteacher in Newcastle.
