Family Bible home again after detective work

AN 85-year-old County Durham woman was ‘delighted’ to have been reunited with a family Bible which belonged to her great grandparents in the late 1800s.

Former detective Alisa Wilson's passion for genealogy led to her buying the book by chance to help with her studies into the subject.
Alisa, who studies at the Institute of Heraldry and Genealogy in Lancashire, purchased the family Bible from the online shopping app Vinted to use it in an essay, finding out that it originally belonged to Margaret Bradley and Christopher Hudson, who were married in 1879 in Chester-le-Street.
