Employee ran over by excavator at waste firm

A COUNTY Durham waste management company has been fined after an employee was run over by an excavator and left with serious injuries.

The 24-year-old Farm XS (Northern) Limited employee was only in his second week of employment at the Barnard Castle site when he was struck from behind by an excavator and run over.
