Drug dealer threw £5,000 in bush

A Sunderland drug dealer threw a carrier bag filled with almost £5,000 in cash into a bush when police caught up with him.

Eboko Masiya, 34, has been jailed for six years and seven months after admitting a series of drug dealing charges.

The dealer was first arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis in Newcastle city centre in February 2023.
