Decision day looms on United star men

NEWCASTLE United sporting director Ross Wilson is facing big decisions on a clutch of stars heading into 2026.

Fabian Schar, club captain Jamaal Lascelles and Kieran Trippier will all see their contracts expire at the end of the season and decision time is on the horizon in terms of an extension.

Both Emil Krafth and John Ruddy could also leave in the summer, with Newcastle weighing up whether to pay a cash fee for Aaron Ramsdale, who is only on a season-long deal.

Southampton loanee Ramsdale is happy on Tyneside, but Newcastle may need to release other squad players to balance the books. The January window will be the last chance to sell Lascelles, Schar and Trippier or lose the trio on free transfers next summer.
