Collector buys tiny harmonica that drove John Lennon 'potty'

TYNESIDE music memorabilia hunter has added a noteworthy Beatles item to his collection.

The miniature Hohner harmonica was played by a young Julian Lennon and later gifted by father John Lennon to the family's builder.

The tiny instrument, strung on a green cord, was given by Lennon to John Hancock, during renovation works at Tittenhurst Park in the late 1960s, the Georgian estate in Ascot, Berkshire, where Lennon lived with Yoko Ono.
