Clubs 'edging closer' to Trafford deal

JAMES Trafford is back with Burnley as Scott Parker's side prepare for their Premier League return.

This as Newcastle United attempt to close the gap between the two clubs in transfer negotiations.
Trafford is keen to join the St James' Park revolution, while Burnley have signed a potential replacement in the form of goalkeeper Max Weiss - but a fee is yet to be agreed for the England international.
As it stands, Trafford has been training after an extended break as Burnley prepare for clashes with Huddersfield Town and Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, July 26.
