Captain leads the way with a wonder goal in massive win for Magpies

He won't have much time to recover with a trip to the Far East - his second in the space of three months - now coming his way.

Brazil travel to Seoul and Tokyo for friendly games with South Korea and Japan and the United captain is in the squad along with teammate Joelinton.

It’s not an ideal venture, that's for sure. Should Bruno continue to dig as deep as this Eddie Howe will have no qualms ~ but the question has to be, where is he getting the energy from?

Bruno had come off in Belgium in midweek but served up an all out attacking display with a goal and an assist against Nottingham Forest at St James’ Park. He continues to get better and better in a black and white shirt.

Newcastle had been rocked in the buildup to the game after Lewis Hall was ruled out with a hamstring injury suffered in Belgium during the 4-0 thrashing of Union SG last week. It meant that Blyth lad Dan Burn started at left-back once again with Tino Livramento also on the sidelines with a knee injury.
