Butterfield: We must get our Heeds in game

ASSISTANT manager Jacob Butterfield has called for “hard work and focus” from Gateshead as they look to bring an end to an awful run of form with a home win against promotion contenders Carlisle United.

The Cumbrians will be backed by over 3,000 supporters at the International Stadium as Mark Hughes and his players look to secure a win that could lift them lift them level on points with joint National League leaders Rochdale and Forest Green Rovers if results elsewhere fall in their favour.
However, it is matters at the other end of the table that are at the focus of Heed minds after a run of nine games without a league win left them sitting in the relegation zone.
The odds are firmly against the Heed today, and Butterfield has challenged his side to “rise to the occasion” as they look to end their long wait for a league win.
