Burglar swiftly jailed after being captured on CCTV

A BURGLAR who thought that he had got away with stealing £200 was arrested, brought before the court and jailed two days later.

Just after 11.30pm on Saturday, April 12, Matthew Thain, 33, broke into a premises on Forum Way, but what he didn’t know is that he had been captured on CCTV footage.
After smashing the window of the Northumberland shop with a brick, he grabbed the money from behind a till, before fleeing the area.
